Or failing that any early period Mulligan and O'Hare. Ta. Anything off "The Onion Ring", then?

Some Inspiral Carpets would be nice. Or 'Babies' by Pulp. Funnily enough, today I've been thinking along similar lines. Perhaps 'Joe', 'Saturn' or 'I want you'. Mind you if we're playing the latter we might as well play 'Fiery Jack' or 'Eat Yerself Fitter' So, Obviously, we'll ditch your idea now and go for something like 'The Show' by 'Doug E Fresh!

Gets my vote. Although if you do relent and play some Carpets, "She Comes In The Fall" is a favourite. Or "Find Out Why", for the alternative Saturday morning TV lyrics.

Something by The Associates that isn't Club Country. Would I Bounce Back?, Party Fears Two or Message Oblique Speech And some Meteors for (forgive me if I get these names wrong) Chris & Mark. Oh David
If you came to more RJs you'd know we pre-empted your requests and played The Scars regularly at the first few and have also played The Sugar Cubes and early Associates - 'Tell Me Easter' & 'Mona' plus 'Party Fears' on numerous occasions. WE are now quite bored of them but get asked for CC!
As it is we will of course be playing all your requests on Friday so as you say no need for you to ever request again. We thank you for your participation. X

You will just have to wait and see although I think my Inspired Inspiral choices were better than yours and as it's our football, plus our jumpers for posts, and to mix similes, the balls in our court but I know you'll like whatever we serve up.

Can you play Take Five by Dave Brubeck so I can jazz dance in my cardigan, with a Jacques Loussier style beard while pretending to smoke a pipe? Or failing that any early period Mulligan and O'Hare. Ta. How about we play 'Wade In The Water' so you can do a cool soul / Jazz dance in a nice dark jacket, shirt and tie instead of a scruffy t-shirt. You can adopt a Jimmy Hill type beard and then request Hector and O' Hare and even Mulligan and Harris. Top strikers against very physical defenders in a dance to the death.

'Why did you do it' by Stretch and 'I feel free' by Cream. Do they come under your play rules?

No rules as such. Just the good taste rule. I'm not saying that either of your songs break that rule but we only have one of them available to us.

So I'm asking for Would I Bounce Back, but you can't play it because you've played other Associates stuff. But you can regularly play play Club Country because you get asked for it?
Would I be right in thinking that the phrase "Ian has a has a firm grasp of logic and reasoned argument" was generally absent from your school reports?

I fear that using reasoned arguments won't help with getting requests played.

So, how come you've read my school reports!?
I could have made the original reply a lot longer and now you are being specific about one associates song against another given reasons such as it fits in better especially later and on and also added the very, very good argument that we much prefer 'Club Country' to 'Would I Bounce Back'. More importantly, on the latter point, so do the majority of people.
