We got James on here, Dave. More James at Reb Ju would be good. Early stuff, like.

Having just had an in depth discussion with another Reb Ju attendee, playing this at the next one may well see scenes never before witnessed youtu.be/HsTJaP2tC0A

Great stuff. he frightening thing is that Da Bruddas look less cartoonish when animated than they did on actual footage - I was going to say real life but unfortunately I cannot claim to have seen them live - and don't you think the Joey caricature looks more like the geezer from Showaddywaddy than lanky Ramone especially when he lowers his shades?

'The Message' is still sounding extraordinary, is still totally epic, and still absolutely relevant. Also. just for fact that is was an actual Grandmaster Flash recording rather than a normal group effort by 'The Furious Five' and therefore sounded so radical when I first heard it (on Peel, Naturally) Adventures....Wheels Of Steel' still grabs me by the bollocks, spins me around, and has me doing some a stupid, stuttering, dance. Either that or has me standing stock still and open mouthed like guppy out of water.
Having said that 'White Lines' will still get me hot footing across any available dance floor if anyone would care to join me.

Plus, I've noticed at recent Reb Ju's that you have a tendency to play 'doubles', i.e a reggae double, rap double, indie double, etc. In which case can the indie double consist of Connection by Elastica and Chasing Rainbows by Shed Seven? I'm sure it can, you know..........

When you're asking Ian for some space you know you've grown too close. Back off Farrow, the man needs a break.

Just play the Wire song that Elastica pinched. Sorted! A bit of Tin Drum/Polaroids era Japan would be rather nice. Ta.

Any Rebellious Jukebox night needs an Ian Dury song in there at some point. May I suggest any 1 of 'Uneasy Sunny Day Hotsy Totsy', 'Blackmail Man' or 'Sink my Boats'. Ta x
