It is all the same though. But only lasts 27 mins. So Immingham's Ramones, then. I'm not a an of the album. It's ok and I've only listened to it on Spotify so only on laptop not through speakers but it's a bit like I've seen them 4 times twice they've been brilliant and twice run of the mill.
I have t ask where do they go from here? Hopefully they have plans and fresh ideas but could end up as Placebo!

Aye, they were so much better on the smaller Freedom Festival stage than they were at Humber Street Sesh, as the vids of me and Ian dancing to them will testify. Not seen those things but have heard. Unfortunately, the only comments have come from blokes. Is that 'cos a) Only blokes watch such vids? b) women are embarrassed by and for us?

Oh, of course we can. As long as the mocking doesn't affect you in any way.

Yeah! Know what you mean. If I try to stand still when decent music is on I end up with one leg twitching as if I've Parkinsons disease (not a complaint that involves interviewing people poorly - Peter Levy has that) or I'm pissing myself! I wonder if there's tablets I can take.

Out of interest, do you or Dave have any more details about Chris Warkup's night in Beverley next month? I spoke to him at Freedom Festival and I'm certain he mentioned you 2 as being involved in some way.

We are lined up to be the between bands and after bands music purveyors billed as 'Dumb and Dumber' or some such thing. It's all in the pipeline at the moment but obviously we'll keep you informed because we need someone to share the taxi home!

Please do, although there's every likelihood I'll be billeted at my fathers residence for the evening, as he seems keen to go.

Another successful festival passes by, very well attended with two very different headline acts. Toy made a great load of psychedelic noise, and Toploader were surprisingly (in my book, anyway) good. Most of the local bands did themselves justice, with Bud Sugar, The Coaves and Hillbilly Troupe impressing. But topping the lot for me was The Talks, whose ska sound was infectiously brilliant. Better still, they're doing a gig with another riotous band, Counting Coins, on November 7th at Welly. One for Rich and Ian, possibly?

Don't think I can make 7th Nov, Tom. Am up in Scotland. Part of 2 weeks off during which I will see Ben Watt, Edwyn Collins, Martin Stephenson...and hopefully City winning away at Burnley. And celebrating being really old. Tough job...gotta do it.
